On the Konstantin Jacob, a product tanker owned by Ernst Jacob, Goltens did a successful turn-key installation on a large ozone based ballast treatment system from NKO3. The vessel was scanned in Rotterdam and detailed engineering plus project management was carried out in the Goltens Green station in the Netherlands. After this, piping was produced in the Goltens Vietnam station, who also provided most of the workers that carried out the installation during a 10 day dry-dock in Malaysia. Goltens Singapore assisted with some local specialists whereas Goltens Green from the Netherlands supervised the entire installation. The last bits and pieces were tied up during the crossing from Malaysia to Fujairah. It was another great example of multi-station involvement.The second installation is currently under way (July 2016). Goltens has used the same formula except this time the entire installation will be finished during the dry-dock and no engineers will have to sail with the vessel for finishing the retrofit.Two more installations are planned for 2017.
